Job summary

Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is seeking an Employment Specialist to support people with serious mental illness through assessment, job readiness training, and placement services.

The role emphasizes community-based work, building relationships with employers, colleges, and local agencies to secure sustainable employment. You will spend most of your time in the community, helping clients after employment to ensure ongoing supports and meaningful work.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED required; associates degree or higher preferred.
• 1-3 years experience with the SMI population; experience in multiple settings including mental health and substance abuse preferred.
• 1-3 years' experience in outreach and engagement activities in behavioral health.
• 1-3 years' experience providing employment services and job readiness skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide work-related services including assessment and job readiness training.
• Spend 80%+ time in the community building relationships with employers, colleges, and community agencies.
• Support clients after employment to ensure ongoing supports and meaningful placement.
