Job summary
Community Bridges, Inc. (CBI) is seeking an Employment Specialist to support people with serious mental illness through assessment, job readiness training, and placement services.
The role emphasizes community-based work, building relationships with employers, colleges, and local agencies to secure sustainable employment. You will spend most of your time in the community, helping clients after employment to ensure ongoing supports and meaningful work.
Qualifications
- Highschool diploma or GED required; associates degree or higher preferred.
- 1-3 years experience with the SMI population; experience in multiple settings including mental health and substance abuse preferred.
- 1-3 years' experience in outreach and engagement activities in behavioral health.
- 1-3 years' experience providing employment services and job readiness skills preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide work-related services including assessment and job readiness training.
- Spend 80%+ time in the community building relationships with employers, colleges, and community agencies.
- Support clients after employment to ensure ongoing supports and meaningful placement.

Community Bridges, Inc. (CB I) is an integrated behavioral healthcare agency offering a variety of different programs throughout Arizona. CBI provides residential, outpatient, inpatient, patient-centered medical homes, medication-assisted treatment, and crisis services to individuals experiencing crisis, opioid use disorder, homelessness, and mental illness.
CBI is the premiere non-profit fully integrated healthcare provider of substance use and behavioral health programs in Arizona, including prevention, education and treatment using cutting-edge, nationally recognized, evidence-based models.
The F/ACT Employment Specialist provides work related services, including assessment, job readiness training and skills building with SMI patients. This position is expected to spend at least 80% or more time in community working with employers, community colleges, skills centers, probation and the criminal justice system. Will also be required to utilize this time in the community to work with each client after employment is obtained to ensure ongoing supports are given to sustain active and meaningful employment.

- 1-3years of experience working with the SMI population with additional experience in multiple settings and levels of care, including both mental health and substance abuse preferred.
- 1-3 years of experience in a behavioral health position providing outreach and engagement activities preferred.
- 1-3 years year of experience of providing employment services and job readiness skills preferred.
- Ability to pass criminal background check for jail visitation/clearance
