Job summary

BrightView Health is seeking a dedicated Counselor to support recovery journeys within our treatment team. You will conduct group therapy, do patient intake assessments, and assist in treatment planning while coordinating care with a multidisciplinary staff.

Strong communication, empathy, and compliance are essential in this on-site role. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of relevant experience, a state-appropriate license or certification, and a willingness to engage in ongoing training and

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Empathetic and compassionate approach to support recovery.
• Team-player in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
• Adaptable and agile in a dynamic work environment.
• Technologically capable; comfortable with multiple systems (MS Office).
• Committed to regulatory compliance and integrity.
• Harm reduction experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct group therapy sessions and patient intake assessments based on clinic needs and best-practice guidelines.
• Provide crisis and de-escalation techniques.
• Assist with treatment planning.
• Review progress towards treatment plan goals.
• Coordinate patient care with the onsite multidisciplinary team.
• Attend required meetings, including on-site staff meetings and multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Timely and comprehensively document all necessary treatment data into the electronic patient health record.
• Follow adherence to all necessary regulatory and company compliance requirements.
