Job summary

Clinica Sierra Vista in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Clinical Manager-BH to oversee the Behavioral Health Center and SUD programs. This full-time role directs clinical services, supervises therapists and staff, and ensures quality and regulatory compliance.

You will provide psychotherapy, develop performance metrics, and partner with administration to maintain licensure and accreditation. A California license (LCSW/LMFT/LPCC or Psychologist) and 3+ years in mental health or SUD settings are

Qualifications

• A strong foundation in behavioral health, mental health treatment, and/or addiction treatment practices.
• Knowledge of SUD models including Matrix, 12-step, Harm Reduction, and Abstinence.
• At least 3 years of experience in a specialty mental health and/or SUD setting.
• Two years post-licensure with ability to provide clinical supervision preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment screenings (background check, drug tests, references).
• Current California license in good standing with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Psychology.

Responsibilities

• Provides psychotherapy to a small caseload of clients, to ensure ability to credential.
• May provide psychotherapy to high acuity clients and clients with difficult presentation.
• Provides technical direction and clinical direction with clinical staff; and provides clinical supervision to associate therapists and/or student interns as applicable and necessary based on the site needs.
• Plans and reports on performance outcome measures.
• Adheres to contract standards, MediCal/Medicare compliance and Joint Commission BH accreditation.
• Manages and follows up with assigned employees; writes reports and plans of corrections.
• Responsible for hiring and retention of staff.
• Maintains coaching and disciplinary records; collaborates with Senior Director of BH/HR.
• Establishes cooperative relationships with other programs and agencies.
• Assists in policy and procedure development.
• Assists in crisis intervention and case evaluations.
• Performs employee reviews and provides constructive feedback to meet goals.
• Other duties as required.
