Job summary

Valley Behavioral Health in Salt Lake City seeks a Client Care Technician to work in Safe Haven I, delivering direct client support in residential and housing programs. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to create a safe, therapeutic environment and help residents pursue treatment goals.

You will engage clients in daily activities, model independent living skills, and keep accurate records while ensuring medication safety and progress tracking for personalized care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• CPR certification after hire.
• Behavioral health or social services experience preferred.
• Experience with medication management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages clients to help meet treatment and recovery goals.
• Provides individualized support to address personal challenges and progress.
• Models independent living skills (hygiene, budgeting, meals, time management).
• Observes and communicates significant observations to the treatment team.
• Conducts accountability conversations about behavior and goals.
• Collects urine samples and ensures proper documentation.
• Distributes medications and follows medication management procedures.
• Maintains accurate documentation of client interactions and progress.
• Transports clients to off-site appointments and activities as assigned.
