Job summary

Summit BHC is seeking a Behavioral Health Associate I to join our on-site treatment team. The role offers 12-hour shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with every other weekend work, and collaboration with nurses, therapists, and support staff to ensure safe, structured client care.

You will monitor behaviors, assist in data collection and recording, respond to crises, supervise clients, conduct safety checks, and support therapeutic activities to help clients achieve treatment goals.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Six months or more experience with the facility's population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure client safety and maintain a structured, supportive environment.
• Conduct safety checks and monitor supervision intervals.
• Record vital signs and report significant changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with crisis response and transport coordination as needed.
• Chart in client records timely and clearly.
• Encourage participation in group therapy and activities.
• Assist with incident reporting and admission/discharge processes.
