Job summary

YKHC, a Tribal health organization serving rural southwest Alaska, seeks a qualified individual to deliver village-based substance use assessments, crisis stabilization, case management, and rehabilitation services under supervision of a licensed clinician.

The role requires high school or GED, willingness to pursue Substance Abuse Counselor certification, and at least two years of experience in community services.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school or GED.
• Must commit to advancing through a certification program.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Community Services; volunteer work accepted with documentation.
• Ability to communicate and present data verbally, in writing, and electronically.

Responsibilities

• Provide village-based substance use assessments and crisis stabilization.
• Perform case management, screenings and rehabilitation services.
• Maintain and document data in verbal, written and electronic formats.
• Collaborate with supervisor to advance to required certifications.
