Yukon Kuskokwim Health Corporation seeks a Village-based Substance Use Counselor to provide assessments, crisis stabilization, case management, and rehabilitation services under supervision of a licensed clinician. Position requires a high school diploma or GED and progression toward certification, with 2 years of community services experience or equivalent volunteer work.

Bilingual Yup’ik/English preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: High school or GED equivalent.
• Must commit to advancing through a certification program.
• Minimum Experience: Two (2) years experience in the field of Community Services, may be volunteer work if documented.
• Demonstrates mature judgment, must have the ability to communicate, retrieve and present data and information both verbally, written and electronic.
• Must be flexible with work schedule and possess the ability for independent actions within prescribed limits.

Responsabilités

• Under supervision of a licensed clinician, provides village-based substance use assessments, crisis stabilization, case management, screenings, and rehabilitation services consistent with education, training and experience.
• Provide village-based substance use assessments and crisis stabilization.
• Perform case management, screenings, and rehabilitation services.
