Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a dedicated paraprofessional/behavior aide in Illinois to support students with individualized education plans.

You will work one-on-one or in small groups, provide behavior support, and assist with life skills training in a school setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, implement de-escalation strategies, track progress, and communicate with families to promote student success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in educational settings implementing behavioral interventions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with assigned student to meet goals in their IEP.
• Assist in development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support strategies and track data on progress.
• De-escalation techniques and crisis management when necessary to ensure safety.
• Foster a positive environment and collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
