Job summary

Dream Big Children’s Center in Visalia, CA is seeking a Behavior Therapist to help children learn new skills, build confidence, and reach goals. You’ll work one-on-one, follow individualized plans, and collaborate with a supportive team.

We value care, excellence, inclusivity and growth. The role offers paid training, growth opportunities, and a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with an equal commitment to families and child progress.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field preferred or in progress.
• Experience with children with autism for 6 months+ preferred.
• TB test and livescan clearance required.
• Must be comfortable with diaper changes.
• Must be available M-F 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children, usually one-on-one, to support behavior goals.
• Follow a personalized plan created for each child.
• Use play, creativity, and patience to teach new skills.
• Support families and share progress.
• Take notes and track the child’s progress.
• Collaborate with team and supervisor to ensure the child gets the best support.

Schedule: Must be available Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

What You’ll Do:

As a Behavior Therapist, you’ll work with children to help them learn new skills, build confidence, and reach their goals. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to make each day fun, rewarding, and full of growth for both the kids and our team members.

Your Role Includes:

• Working directly with children (usually one-on-one) to support behavior goals
• Following a personalized plan created for each child
• Using play, creativity, and patience to teach new skills
• Supporting families and sharing progress
• Taking notes and tracking the child’s progress
• Working closely with your team and supervisor to make sure the child is getting the best support possible
