Job summary

Dream Big Children’s Center in Apple Valley, CA is seeking a Behavior Therapist to help children learn new skills, build confidence, and reach their goals within a supportive team environment. The role involves direct one-on-one work, following personalized plans, and using play and patience to teach new skills.

You'll collaborate with families, track progress, and work with your supervisor to ensure the child receives the best possible support. Must meet qualifications and be available M-F 8–5.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred or enrollment in a related degree program.
• At least 6 months of experience with children with autism in educational/therapy settings.
• TB test and livescan clearance required.
• Comfortable with diaper changes.
• Available Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with children one-on-one to support behavior goals.
• Follow a personalized plan created for each child.
• Use play, creativity, and patience to teach new skills.
• Support families and share progress.
• Taking notes and tracking the child’s progress.
• Work closely with the team and supervisor to ensure optimal support.

Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 Hourly

Schedule: Must be available Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

What You’ll Do

As a Behavior Therapist, you’ll work with children to help them learn new skills, build confidence, and reach their goals. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to make each day fun, rewarding, and full of growth for both the kids and our team members.

Your Role Includes

• Working directly with children (usually one-on-one) to support behavior goals
• Following a personalized plan created for each child
• Using play, creativity, and patience to teach new skills
• Supporting families and sharing progress
• Taking notes and tracking the child’s progress
• Working closely with your team and supervisor to make sure the child is getting the best support possible
