Job summary

Dream Big Children's Center in Riverside, CA is seeking a Behavior Therapist to work with children, usually one-on-one, to help them learn new skills and reach goals. You’ll be part of a supportive team that values growth, compassion, and creativity.

This role offers paid training, a Monday–Friday schedule 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, and the opportunity to make a real difference in kids’ lives while gaining experience in education and therapy.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field preferred, or enrollment in degree program leading to psychology or related field.
• Experience working with children with autism in educational or therapy settings for at least 6 months.
• Complete TB test and livescan clearance.
• Must be comfortable with diaper changes.
• Must be available M–F 8–5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Working directly with children (usually one‑on‑one) to support behavior goals.
• Following a personalized plan created for each child.
• Using play, creativity, and patience to teach new skills.
• Supporting families and sharing progress.
• Taking notes and tracking the child’s progress.
• Working closely with your team and supervisor to make sure the child is getting the best support possible.

Schedule: Must be available Monday through Friday, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

As a Behavior Therapist, you’ll work with children to help them learn new skills, build confidence, and reach their goals. You’ll be part of a supportive team that works together to make each day fun, rewarding, and full of growth for both the kids and our team members.
