Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism and help them reach their full potential.

You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, implementing individualized intervention plans and teaching communication, social, and daily living skills while using evidence-based techniques. Comprehensive training will prepare you to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test (if you haven’t had one in the last year)
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Collaborate with a team and participate in comprehensive training.
• Move and position children as needed during activities and tasks.
