Job summary

Centria Autism in Plano, TX is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism one-on-one. You will implement individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training and require a caring, patient team member who can move and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Candidates must obtain a Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children to implement individualized behavior plans.
• Operate under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Participate in training and onboarding to be prepared for the role.
• Help create a supportive, collaborative team environment.
