Job summary

Centria Autism in Chandler, AZ is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to help children with autism. You will work one-on-one, implementing individualized plans under a BCBA, teaching communication, social, and daily living skills using evidence-based techniques.

Applicants should be patient, compassionate, and comfortable in a team setting. Training is provided; lifting up to 50 pounds is sometimes required, and the role involves moving between various positions.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Collaborate with BCBA guidance to support each child’s progress.
• Maintain a supportive and safe environment for the child and family.
