Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Registered Behavior Technicians to join our Newport News team. You will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a BCBA.

You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors. We provide comprehensive training and a supportive, patient, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid and TB test prior to/on onboarding.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check.
• RBT Certification required within 45 days of onboarding.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans under BCBA guidance.
• Work one-on-one with children to teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Use evidence-based techniques to reduce interfering behaviors.
• Move and assist children safely; maintain a supportive environment.
