Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum under the supervision of a BCBA. You will implement individualized plans and use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

The role requires patience, compassion, and teamwork. Training is provided, and the job involves physical activity and lifting up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years old and a high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification and a Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions and lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children under the guidance of a BCBA.
• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans using evidence-based techniques.
• Teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
• Participate in comprehensive training provided by Centria Autism.
