Job summary

Centria Healthcare is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism. You will work one-on-one under a BCBA, applying evidence-based methods to teach communication and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

Labor is active and hands-on, with comprehensive training provided. The role requires physical stamina to assist children, including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing or moving as needed.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check.
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing personalized behavior plans.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication and daily living skills.
• Reduce interfering behaviors under BCBA supervision.
• Be physically active; stand, move, lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
