Job summary

Adapt For Life in Matthews, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Behavior Technician to join our autism services team. You will apply empirically based behavioral methods and collaborate with BCBA and Clinical Director to implement treatment plans and document progress hourly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• RBT credential or ability to be board certified within 3 months.
• Experience with ABA, Medicaid, Waiver or private insurance is preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Apply empirically based behavioral principles with clients.
• Implement ITPS under direction of behavior analysts/consultants.
• Teach language, academic, self-help and social skills per ITPs.
• Assist clients in acquiring life and academic skills.
• Collaborate as a team and share ideas and duties.
• Participate in staff training to improve skills.
• Communicate professionally with families and clinicians.
• Learn VB-MAPP and ABLLS assessments as needed.
• Observe, record and report client behavior and daily notes.
• Work with clients, families and staff to implement treatment plans.
• Consistently execute behavior plans to reduce inappropriate behavior.
• Respond to and manage crisis situations when needed.
• Complete daily paperwork and data notes accurately and timely.
• Follow policies including confidentiality and HIPAA.
• Submit notes, progress reports, and billing on time.
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and seminars.
