Job summary

Centria is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to join our team and help children with autism reach their full potential. You’ll work one-on-one under a BCBA, applying evidence-based strategies to teach communication, social and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors.

We provide comprehensive training, a supportive team environment, and opportunities to grow in the field of Behavioral Analysis.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping children with autism.
• Patient, compassionate, and able to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to obtain CPR, First Aid Certification and TB test
• Ability to pass a pre employment background check
• Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Candidates must obtain an Registered Behavior Technician Certification after onboarding

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under supervision of a BCBA.
• Use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social and daily living skills.
• Help reduce interfering behaviors while promoting skills and independence.
