Job summary

Proud Moments ABA is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to provide one-on-one behavior support in clients' homes in the New York area. You will implement treatment plans designed by BCBAs, collect data on progress, and support families with training and guidance.

The role offers flexible part-time hours, training, and a supportive team environment, with compensation reflecting experience and local market rates for home-based ABA services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience working with children preferred.
• Prior experience providing support to children or adults with behavioral challenges, developmental delays, or special needs preferred.
• Exposure to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities is preferred, though comprehensive training will be provided.
• Reliable personal transportation with the ability to commute consistently to assigned work locations.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of client, family, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to follow detailed instructions and document information accurately.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to stay organized and adapt to changing schedules or priorities.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with a client in their home to implement behavioral plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Collect data to monitor progress and effectiveness of the individualized treatment plan and report progress.
• Support BCBA with training families on implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors.
• Maintain clear lines of communication with families, supervisors, and other applicable parties.
• Physically keep up with clients as they move about the session area(s); this includes standing, sitting, bending, lifting 25+ pounds, running, squatting, kneeling, and keeping pace with children aged 2-15.
