Job summary

Autism FIRST in Roanoke, VA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician (BT) / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 ABA therapy in a clinic setting under BCBA supervision. You’ll follow individualized treatment plans and track progress.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, ABA experience, CPR and TB tests, valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel locally between clinic and in-home sessions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of ABA experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel locally between clinic and in-home sessions.
• CPR certification required; reimbursement after 90 days.
• TB test required; proof of auto insurance required.
• Active RBT certification strongly preferred.
• Enrollment in BCBA/BCaBA coursework is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and respond quickly for client safety.
• Ability to pass background screening.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy.
• Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition programs under BCBA supervision.

• Collect and record accurate session data.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and families.

In this role, you’ll deliver 1:1 ABA therapy while following individualized treatment plans under BCBA guidance and tracking progress through accurate data.

Pay:$22 - $29 / hour

Schedule Availability Requirement: Part-Time, Monday - Friday, between 3:45pm - 7:15pm (schedule varies within this window based on client needs) and occasional weekends as needed

Required Training Availability: All new hires must be available for two weeks of onboarding training, which includes:

• Virtual sessions from 9am to 1pm
• In-person shadowing from1pm to 4pmor4pm to 7pm
