Advanceable ABA VA is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for part-time, in-home ABA therapy in the Roanoke, VA area. Provide 1:1 services in the child’s home under BCBA supervision, focusing on communication, social, behavioral, and daily-living skills.

The role offers flexible afternoon/evening hours, paid training, PTO, and growth opportunities with BCBA mentorship and ongoing supervision. A valid RBT certification or path to certification is supported.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification or support to certification
• 1+ year experience with kids or individuals with special needs (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Strong communication, patience, and professionalism
• Ability to work in clients’ homes around Roanoke, VA area
• Part-time RBT positions available
• Afternoon and after-school sessions, Monday–Friday; weekends as needed
• 15-25+ hours per week depending on availability and client needs

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As an RBT, you'll provide individualized 1:1 in-home ABA therapy under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

Your responsibilities will include:

• Working directly with children to implement individualized ABA treatment plans

• Helping children develop communication, social, behavioral, play, and daily-living skills

• Using evidence-based ABA strategies and reinforcement techniques

• Tracking progress through accurate session data and clinical notes

• Communicating professionally with families and members of the clinical team

• Participating in ongoing BCBA supervision and training

• Staying active and engaged during sessions, including sitting, squatting, walking, running, and playing with children

What We’re Looking For:

• Active RBT certification, if not we'll support your path to certification

• Passion for working with children and helping others grow

• 1+ year of experience working with kids or individuals with special needs (preferred)

• High school diploma or equivalent (required)

• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license (required)

• Strong communication, patience, and professionalism

• Ability to work in clients’ homes throughout the Roanoke, VA area

• Part-time RBT positions available
