Job summary

ASAT: ABA a Step At a Time care in New York City (Midtown) is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to provide 1:1 ABA therapy in clients' homes, schools, or community settings. The role involves implementing BCBA-approved treatment plans, collecting progress data, and collaborating with families to drive meaningful outcomes.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent (BA preferred), plus ABA therapy experience is a plus and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; BA preferred.
• Previous experience in ABA therapy or working with children is a plus.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 ABA therapy in home, in school, or in community.
• Implement treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Collect and document data on client progress.
• Collaborate with families and team members to ensure client success.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment during therapy sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect for clients.
• Abide by the BACB's code of ethics for Registered Behavior Technicians.
• Continue with professional development.

Behavior Technician (BT) Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in-home, in-school, or in-community.

Behavior Technician (BT) Compensation and Schedule:

• Pay Range: $20 - $29/hour


• Part-Time: Monday and Wednesday 2:45 - 6:30 PM + Friday 3 - 6:30 PM


• Location: Midtown, NY

Behavior Technician (BT) Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; BA preferred.


• Previous experience in ABA therapy or working with children is a plus.


• Ability to pass background check.


• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
