Job summary

ASAT: ABA a Step At a Time care seeks a Behavior Technician to deliver 1:1 ABA therapy in home, school, or community settings in Astoria, NY. You will implement plans created by a BCBA and track client progress while collaborating with families and team members.

The role emphasizes safety, confidentiality, and ongoing professional development, with supervision and opportunities for growth in a supportive, values-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 1:1 ABA therapy experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience working with children is a plus.
• Ability to pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide engaging 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in-home, in-school, or in-community.
• Implement treatment plans designed by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
• Collect and document data on client progress.
• Collaborate with families and team members to ensure client success.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment during therapy sessions.
• Maintain confidentiality and respoect for clients.
• Abide by the BACB's code of ethics for Registered Behavior technicians.
• Continue with professional development.

Behavior Technician (BT) Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging 1:1 ABA therapy to clients in-home, in-school, or in-community.

Behavior Technician (BT) Compensation and Schedule:

• Pay Range: $20 - $30/hour
• Part-Time: Monday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM and Tue & Thursday will be added during the summer break
• Location: Astoria, Queens - NY

Behavior Technician (BT) Skills and Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Previous experience in ABA therapy or working with children is a plus but not required.
• Ability to pass background check.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally.
