Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services is hiring a Behavior Technician in the Fredericksburg/Stafford area to work one on one with children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, as well as similar developmental delays or behavioral health challenges.

You will follow behavior plans created by Board Certified Behavior Analysts, document progress and milestones, and support children in building social and communication skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Completion of college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or 1+ year experience with children in related roles.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
