Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Behavioral Technician to work one-on-one with children and/or adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder and related developmental challenges in Oakland, CA. You will help clients improve social and communication skills and implement behavior plans under supervision.

We offer Competitive hourly pay of $23–$27 with weekly pay, plus benefits such as health, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) plan, mileage reimbursement, paid time off, and tuition reimbursement options.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Completion of 40-hour ABA Training. Training provided, must be completed prior to providing service.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience working with children in roles such as Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, ABA-related positions is preferred.

• Help clients work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors

Qualifications:

• Passion for working with children and adults with special needs
• Excellent communication skills
• Technological proficiency including mobile devices for documentation
• Proficiency in the English language is required
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Successful completion of 40-hour and ABA Training. Training provided, must be completed prior to providing service.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Current PPD or Chest X Ray
• Ability to effectively elicit/ provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients)
• Completion of college coursework in one of the following programs: psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or a minimum of one year experience working with children in the following capacities: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist, ABA Therapist, or Behavior Technician required
