Job summary

Ottawa Area Intermediate School District in Holland, Michigan seeks a Behavior Systems Consultant to support local districts in developing sustainable MTSS-based behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health systems.

This full-time role reports to the Director of Behavior and Mental Health Services and focuses on consultation, coaching, and professional learning to improve student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Special Education, School Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Minimum of three years of successful experience supporting students with behavioral, emotional, or mental health needs, ideally in a school setting.
• Knowledge of MTSS, PBIS, Functional Behavior Assessment, and Behavior Intervention Planning.
• Demonstrated consultation, facilitation, and professional learning skills.
• Ability to build collaborative relationships with educators, administrators, and families.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems consultation and capacity building for districts.
• Consult with district leadership on behavioral, social-emotional, and mental health systems.
• Strengthen Tier 1–3 systems within MTSS frameworks.
• Facilitate district problem-solving meetings and Service Delivery Plans.
• Coaching and modeling to support implementation fidelity.
