Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks in Missouri is seeking a Behavior Support Technician to bridge clients with their communities. You will mentor individuals in daily living activities, reinforce independence, and work under supervision to implement behavior support plans.

Responsibilities include teaching self-care, cooking, and safety while using de-escalation techniques and crisis prevention; you’ll help maintain a supportive, therapeutic home environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Successfully complete CPR and First Aid training.
• Complete medication administration and MANDT/OSHA trainings.
• Ability to document interactions in electronic systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with groceries, meal preparation, and daily living activities.
• Support clients in learning coping and independence skills.
• Follow behavior support plans and use de-escalation when needed.
• Observe, report, and document changes in client status daily.
