Job summary

The Arc of the Ozarks in Springfield, MO, is seeking Behavioral Support Technicians to join our Crisis Services team. This role provides hands-on support to individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and significant behavioral needs.

Paid training and certifications are provided, and no prior experience is required, though related work is preferred. We operate with a 2:1 staffing model and offer both full-time and part-time opportunities with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Weekend availability required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform essential physical functions.
• Experience in related human-services fields is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to promote safety, independence, and skill development.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as hygiene, meals, cleaning, and community activities.
• Teach and reinforce communication, coping, and independent-living skills.
• Follow individualized behavior support and crisis-prevention plans.
• Document progress and notable events; observe behaviors.
• Collaborate with teammates, supervisors, and the support team.
