Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a dedicated staff member to support students with intensive behavioral needs in in-district classrooms and standalone schools in the Chicago area.

You will collaborate with teachers and leaders to implement customized behavior plans and promote a positive learning environment. The role focuses on monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team to ensure safety and effective interventions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher with experience in behavioral interventions.
• Experience working in educational settings with intensive behavioral needs.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school staff to support students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Monitor students and provide documentation of incidents and progress.
• Develop and implement behavior support plans with the team.
• Use PBIS strategies and school incentive programs to promote positive behavior.
• Assist with crisis management and de-escalation when needed.
• Communicate with parents and participate in debriefs after incidents.
