Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking a Behavior Management Specialist at Brainerd High School for the 2026-2027 year. This role delivers 1:1 or small group behavioral support to students with significant needs, requiring strong response skills and Handle with Care certification.

You will collaborate with families, educators, and community partners to implement intervention plans, ensure safety, and maintain detailed progress notes.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or 60 college credits completed.
• Experience supporting students with behavioral needs.
• Handle with Care certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor behavior plans for students.
• Provide 1:1 or small group support.
• Ensure safety of students and others at all times.
• Consult with families and other professionals to coordinate services.
• Model appropriate behavioral skills for students.
• Respond quickly to deregulated or stressed students.
• Prepare progress documentation and reports.
• Maintain confidentiality.
