Job summary

Bancroft in Mt. Laurel, NJ is seeking a Behavior Support Specialist to work in person at the Lindens Center. You will help develop and implement individualized support plans under the supervision of a behavior analyst, and coordinate care for children and adolescents with autism and related disabilities.

The role emphasizes creating effective behavior plans, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with families, funders, and an interdisciplinary team to improve daily functioning.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with at least six months experience in Human Services or related field.
  • In programs where the incumbent is required to serve as a QIDP, one year of experience is required.
  • Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

  • With behavior analyst oversight, develops and coordinates ISPs for persons served at the Program site.
  • In collaboration with the behavior analyst, conducts functional behavior assessments.
  • Develops, evaluates and confirms clinical outcomes of behavior plans.
  • Coordinates and creates agenda for family and funder contact.
  • Coordinates health care and behavioral needs.
  • Trains, mentors, and monitors staff on care delivery; leads IDT.

Bancroft is actively seeking highly motivated individuals for our Behavior Specialist Specialist opening supporting our Lindens Center. The Lindens is a highly effective residential program helping children and adolescents ages 11-21 overcome acute behavioral challenges due to severe autism or an intellectual or developmental disability.

Responsibilities
  • With behavior analyst oversight, creates and coordinates the development and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) for persons served at specific Program site.
  • In collaboration with behavior analyst, conducts, develops, and implements functional behavior assessments for persons served at Program site.
  • Develops, evaluates, and confirms clinical outcomes of behavior plans to ultimately ensure a functionally- sound behavior plan as needed for persons served.
  • Coordinates and creates agenda for family and funder contact.
  • Coordinates health care and behavioral needs.
  • Responsible for training, mentoring, and monitoring staff on care delivery.
  • Leads interdisciplinary team (IDT) process and responsible for timely documentation. Advocates on behalf of persons served.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of six months experience in Human Services or related field required. In programs where the incumbent is required to serve as a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP), one year of experience is required. Experience in Applied Behavior Analysis preferred.
