Job summary

Yukon Public Schools seeks a Behavioral Support Paraprofessional to assist students with disabilities and address significant aggression. You will reinforce learning, maintain safety, and collaborate with staff and families.

Responsibilities include behavioral data collection, implementing IEP plans, de‑escalation, and staff training, with a focus on creating positive learning environments daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 48 credit hours or ParaPro test completed or able to pass.
• CPR and CPI certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
• Experience with at‑risk students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in reinforcing skills and learning materials.
• Provide verbal support, redirection, and modeling for students.
• Document daily activities and student progress.
• Implement behavior plans under the IEP team guidance.
• De-escalate challenging behaviors and support safety.
• Create and deliver professional development for paraprofessionals.
