Job summary

Alabaster City Schools seeks a Paraprofessional - Behavioral to support students with severe behavior impairments and help implement behavior plans developed by the IEP team.

Position may be reassigned to various schools throughout the year; requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus an Associate’s Degree, 48 college hours, or WORKKEYS. Strong interpersonal skills, physical ability, and adherence to policies are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent with basic skills competency.
• For Title I schools: associate degree or 48 semester hours or WORKKEYS tested.
• Adequate strength to perform required tasks and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Understand and uphold school rules, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in operating the school efficiently as directed by the principal.
• Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
• Support positive attitudes toward citizenship, self-discipline, morality, and patriotism.
