Job summary

Yukon Public Schools is seeking a Behavioral Support Paraprofessional to assist students with disabilities who exhibit significant aggression. You will work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning and support interactions with staff.

The role requires handling challenging behaviors with de-escalation strategies, collecting daily activity data, and participating in CPI and related trainings as needed. A timely driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 48 hours of college credit or ParaPro Test required.
• CPR and CPI certifications preferred or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified staff in reinforcing learning materials and student skills.
• Support students one-on-one or in small groups in relationship-based interventions.
• Maintain confidentiality and use discretion with student records.
