Qualifications

• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs in an educational setting.
• High school diploma required; further education considered a plus.

Responsabilités

• Work one on one with an assigned student to meet goals in their IEP.
• Assist in the development and modification of behavior support plans.
• Implement behavior support plans; record and track data on behaviors, progress toward goals, and incidents.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical restraint if necessary to maintain safety.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment to develop social and behavioral skills.
• Supervise students and ensure they are monitored, including to and from appropriate school locations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure consistent implementation of behavior support plans.
• Provide personal care support based on the student’s needs.
• Communicate effectively with parents.
