Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a paraprofessional/behavior aide to support K-12 students with intensive behavioral needs in a school setting. You will work within an interdisciplinary team to implement individualized plans, monitor progress, and help maintain a safe, supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities include documenting incidents, assisting with behavior plans, and communicating with families. A HS diploma is required; a bachelor's degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Emotional consistency and resilience under stress.
• Flexibility and willingness to support safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse students from varying developmental and cultural backgrounds.
• Monitor and support at the school site (classrooms, transition areas, etc.).
• Assist with behavior support plan creation and implementation.
• Record incidents and progress toward goals.
• Utilize PBIS strategies and school incentive programs.
• Assist with de-escalation, crisis management, and safety.
• Foster positive, inclusive environments and collaboration with staff.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team on differentiated support.
• Participate in debriefings after challenging situations.
• Facilitate communication with parents.
