Job summary

KIPP New Jersey in Camden seeks a Behavior Specialist to guide students on two teams (Special Education and Culture). You will champion positive behavior, work with families, and partner with staff to reinforce expectations across the school community.

Responsibilities include creating individualized materials, maintaining records, monitoring progress on IEPs, and responding to conflicts with de-escalation techniques while supporting school-wide initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 48 semester hours from an accredited institution.
• ABS training.
• Experience working with kids who need behavior support.
• Hold high expectations for each student.
• Exhibit positive rapport with students.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with individualized materials for students needing behavior support.
• Maintain records and daily/weekly tracking sheets.
• Assist with progress monitoring for IEPs.
• Assist in demonstrations when necessary.
• Respond to and de-escalate student conflicts and intervene.
• Support school-wide systems and maintain positive culture.
