KIPP New Jersey seeks motivated Behavior Specialists to guide students toward college readiness. Roles are split between Special Education and Culture teams, focusing on individualized behavior support and positive school culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 48 semester hours from an accredited institution.
• ABS training.
• Experience working with kids who need behavior support.
• Hold high expectations for each student.
• Exhibit positive rapport with students.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized behavior support materials and tracking for students needing behavior support.
• Maintain records and daily/weekly tracking sheets; assist progress monitoring of IEPs.
• Assist in education demonstrations as needed; respond to and de-escalate conflicts.
• Work with the Special Education and Culture teams to reinforce school-wide expectations.
• Support school-wide systems (arrival, dismissal, lunch, activity blocks); uphold positive culture during transitions.
• Assist Deans with culture team requests; monitor student behavior in DeansList and restorative spaces.
• Help organize and implement school-wide initiatives and events, and engage families and scholars in activities.
