Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Valid Substance Abuse Counselor-in-Training credential or state equivalent.
• CBT experience preferred; knowledge of clinical care and human services.
• Residential program preference: valid driver's license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Provide cognitive behavioral and other therapeutic services including groups to patients, under supervision.
• Participate in supervision sessions and communicate patient progress and care plan adjustments.
• Monitor intervention effectiveness; adjust plans with Clinical leader guidance.
• Document mental health services per regulations and payer expectations within medical records.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment team meetings and assist in treatment plan development.
• Communicate treatment interventions and support needs to interdisciplinary team and support systems.
• Offer training support to direct care team on CBT interventions.
• Provide parent or support person training on CBT interventions and behavioral plans.
• Ensure patient safety and facility safety; support staffing changes as needed.
• Perform other duties including staying current with department processes and training.
