Job summary

INTERCARE Therapy is hiring Behavior Technicians to support children with autism in home and clinic settings in California. You will work 1:1 with children and receive paid training, with a focus on building communication, social, and daily living skills.

The role is part-time with a pay rate of $19.00–$23.00 per hour. Flexible afternoon and early-evening schedules are available, and reliable transportation is required for local travel within a 20–40 mile radius.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma plus one of: at least one completed college course / currently enrolled in college / associate's or bachelor's degree
• Reliable transportation, valid license, registration & insurance
• Willingness to travel locally (20–40 mi radius)
• Passion for working with children; bilingual is a plus

Responsibilities

• Work 1:1 with children in home and clinic settings using ABA (we train you)
• Help children build communication, social, and daily living skills
• Travel to client homes and local community locations to provide services
• Collaborate with families and supervisors to support progress

Pay & Schedule

• $19.00–$23.00 per hour
• Part-time role

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma + one of the following:
  • At least one completed college course
  • Currently enrolled in college
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, registration & insurance
• Comfortable with local travel to nearby client locations (20–40mi radius)
• Passion for working with children (experience preferred)
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Physical requirements: Active role including standing, kneeling, running, and lifting up to 50 lbs while engaging with children
