Job summary

Enfield Public Schools seeks Behavior Technicians to support students' behavioral, social, emotional, and academic growth in grades Kindergarten through age 22, including 32.5 hours per week and possible AM/PM bus duties.

Under supervision of the School Administrator and with the BCBA and school staff, you will implement PMT strategies, collect data, and maintain confidentiality while promoting a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Current PMT certification; training may be provided.
• Ability to implement PMT strategies and crisis intervention.
• Ability to provide academic support.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Two years of coursework in psychology/education or related field.

Responsibilities

• Work with BCBA, teachers, counselors, and school staff to support student success.
• Implement strategies to decrease maladaptive behaviors and increase social, communication, and adaptive skills.
• Model and reinforce safe, replacement behaviors under supervision.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and behavioral supports as directed.
• Implement individual student Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
• Observe and monitor student behavior and collect data.
• Communicate effectively with staff, families, and stakeholders.
• Support students in academic subjects during school day.
