Job summary

The School Board of Broward County, Florida is seeking a Behavior Technician to support students with behavior interventions, collecting data, and assisting in program development and implementation. This role works closely with staff to promote safe, respectful behavior and compliance with district policies.

Responsibilities include data collection, contributing to Functional Behavioral Assessments, and supervising students in need of targeted interventions within a school setting.

Qualifications

• Standard high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience with behaviorally complex children.
• OR an earned associate degree or 60 credits with two (2) years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Collect data in the school environment.
• Assist in data gathering for Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Develop and implement behavioral programs and plans.
• Assist staff in using behavioral systems.
• Shaping and teaching appropriate behavior to students.
• Monitor and supervise students needing intervention.
• Follow School Board policies and safety rules.
