Job summary

The School Board of Broward County is seeking a Behavioral Technician to support students requiring behavior intervention by implementing specific plans in classroom settings. You will collect data, assist in assessments, and help develop and implement behavioral programs under supervision.

This full-time position requires experience with behaviorally complex children and training in PBIS/de-escalation strategies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED as a minimum requirement.
• An earned associate degree or 60 credits with related experience is acceptable.
• Computer skills as required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Collect data within the school environment.
• Assist in data gathering for Functional Behavior Assessments.
• Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral programs and plans.
• Assist staff in techniques needed to implement behavioral systems.
• Assist in shaping and teaching appropriate behavior to students.
• Monitor data and share recommendations for interventions with staff.
• Supervise students during intervention activities.
• Follow district safety rules and school board policies.

Education
