ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist for Riverside Academy in Cincinnati, Ohio. The role focuses on implementing effective FBA, function-based interventions, and BIP to support at-risk students.

The candidate will collaborate with teachers and parents, participate in IEP teams, and promote a positive school culture with strong documentation and attendance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, health, or related field preferred.
• Intervention Specialist license preferred.
• Experience with at-risk or behaviorally challenged students in multicultural settings beneficial.
• Ability to build trust with students, parents and colleagues.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding and respectful attitude toward behavioral needs of students of various ages.
• Provide expertise in FBA, function-based interventions, and BIP.
• Meet with students and develop individual behavior tracking and intervention programs.
• Serve on IEP Teams and build relationships with students needing intervention.
• Collaborate with staff on crisis intervention and attendance-related issues.
• Act as consultant to administrators, teachers, and parents for positive behavior solutions.
• Monitor attendance and develop Absence Intervention Plans to improve school-wide attendance.
• Maintain records consistent with policies and participate in school events and duties.
