Job summary

AHRC New York City is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) for the Brooklyn Adult Day Services program. The BIS will provide behavior support, conduct diagnostic evaluations, and contribute to treatment planning as part of interdisciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has a Master's in psychology, at least 2 years' experience with developmental disabilities, strong communication skills, and a collaborative, adaptable approach.

Qualifications

• Masters degree in clinical or treatment psychology with training in assessment techniques.
• At least 2 years of experience with developmental disabilities and behavioral support plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to work in collaborative, interdisciplinary settings.

Responsibilities

• Develop individualized behavior support plans after functional assessments.
• Implement and monitor behavior data tracking systems.
• Provide staff training on treatment plans and behavioral health topics.
• Coordinate care with families, medical providers, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate records to ensure regulatory compliance.
