AHRC New York City is seeking a Behavioral Intervention Specialist for its Queens Adult Day Services program. The BIS delivers behavior support services, evaluations, and treatment as part of interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a clinical or treatment psychology field with training in assessment and behavioral support plan development.
• At least 2 years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or supervising others in behavioral support plans.
• Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration with stakeholders, and regulatory compliance experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops individualized behavior support plans after completing Functional Assessment.
• Implements and monitors behavior data tracking systems.
• Provides training to staff on behavior treatment plans and related topics.
• Coordinates psychological care and behavioral programs with families and medical providers.
• Provides crisis intervention and trains staff in addressing challenging behaviors.
• Attends interdisciplinary team meetings and contributes on individuals with behavioral challenges.
• Maintains service records timely and accurately to ensure quality intervention and regulatory compliance.
• Performs duties to ensure compliance with regulations governing service provision.
