Job summary

Tucson Unified School District is seeking a Behavior Intervention Specialist to support students with behavioral needs and to work with Teachers, Counselors, Psychologists, Administration, and the MTSS team to assess, monitor, and collect data to devise behavior plans.

You will train staff on plan implementation, evaluate effectiveness, and contribute to a fair and equitable educational environment while supporting continuous learning.

Qualifications

• Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Immunization proof for measles and rubella (or MMR).
• Valid AZ teaching certificate.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques.
• English verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support students with academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, psychologists, administration, and MTSS team.
• Assess, monitor, and collect data to devise behavior plans.
• Train staff on behavior plan implementation and evaluate effectiveness.
• Promote safety and equity as part of the Unitary Status Plan.
