Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks a Behavioral Specialist to support student emotional, social, and behavioral health within classrooms across the district. You will collaborate with Student Support Services and campus administrators to implement programs and provide direct intervention, staff development, and crisis support as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Mental Health, Human Services, or related field required.
• Texas Special Education Certification required; BCBA preferred; ESL preferred in some settings.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching in Special Education.
• Experience in behavior intervention and autism; self-contained classroom.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred in some settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide ABA-based behavioral strategies to support students and educators.
• Develop and implement IEPs and Behavior Improvement Plans (BIP).
• Deliver staff training and consultation on behavioral support.
• Coordinate with families and community resources; maintain confidential records.
• Lead crisis intervention and district-wide behavioral programs as needed.
